About The Event
Join us for a fun morning at St John's Waterloo for a morning all about sweet peas! We will be making simple climbing structures then planting the sweet peas, which will grow to help the local butterflies, bees and other insects to flourish.
St John’s churchyard garden welcomes hundreds of people a day including local residents, dog walkers, students and office workers taking lunch breaks, commuters going to and from Waterloo Station and passers-by who step in from the street to find themselves in an unexpected oasis of calm. It’s also a place where homeless people spend time, where students with special needs learn horticulture skills and during the annual Waterloo Festival it’s the setting for exhibitions, jazz concerts and community tea parties.
